SECOND ANNUAL COMEDY NIGHT FEBRUARY 4TH4TH

The Young Israel of Stamford will hold its
Second Annual Comedy Night on Saturday evening, February 6th, at 8pm.  Last year's event was a great success, drawing over 100 people, and we look forward to another fun-filled night with comedian Matt Goldich on the stage this year!
 
Matt is a stand-up comedian and a writer for the Late Show with David Letterman. He performs regularly in New York City and at clubs, colleges, and Jewish events around the country. In addition, Matt has appeared on Comed
y Central's "Premium Blend." 
 
Matt started his comedy career in 1999. While attending Brown University, he was selected as one of the five funniest college students in America by HBO.com and performed at the US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Colorado. He has written for VH1's Best Week Ever, as well as the game shows Stump the Schwab, The World Series of Pop Culture, and Cash Cab (for which he won a Daytime Emmy Award). Matt contributed to the Random House book Bar Mitzvah Disco as well as the "Style Slip-Ups" selection of Life and Style magazine. Matt has also served as host for Heeb Magazine's college tour "The Chosen".

 Shuli Taubes is currently teaching Tanakh and Machsehvet Yisrael at SAR High School. She recently completed a Masters in Divinity at the Harvard Divinity School where she focused on Scripture and Interpretation. While pursuing her degree, Shuli taught at Ma'ayan, a women's Torah learning initiative in the greater Boston area. Shuli has also taught a number of classes and given numerous lectures in the New York area.
