Dear Friends,

prisonerPlease be our guest at our upcoming "Meet-the-Author" evening, November 8th, 6:00 PM

Leon Gleicher, also known as Esther Rein's father, will share with us the story of his surviving the holocaust with a presentation of his memoir: "From Prisoner to Partisan, My Holocaust Story"

Leon Gleicher was born outside Turka, Poland (now Ukraine).  He escaped from the Sambor Ghetto, fleeing to the nearby forests, where he evaded capture for a year.  He then joined the partisans, where he was injured in battle.  He recovered in a Russian military hospital, eventually making his way to the West and the Fohrenwald Displaced Persons Camp.  From  there, he immigrated to America where he built a new life with his wife and children.

The book is available on Amazon.com and will be also available on November 8th for purchase and autographs.

This event is part of the Family Beit Midrash program, starting with a 6PM light dinner and followed by the 6:30PM lecture.  A children's programming will be running concurrently.

Maariv will conclude the program at 7:45PM.
